Practice Managers Program

GP Advisors

GP Advisors are assigned to CHGPN programs to ensure there is GP input into all aspects of program planning, implementation and evaluation. They work in collaboration with staff to achieve project outcomes.

Focus of the position

The focus of the GP Advisor position is to provide expert advice and leadership in the implementation of Board endorsed service delivery programs.
As such, the position adds value through:

  • clinical knowledge and/or expertise;
  • special interest knowledge and/or expertise; and
  • industry / Practice knowledge and expertise.

The GP Advisor is also required to actively represent the views of the CHGPN to external stakeholders; and be a 'champion' of programs - promoting to GP colleagues and other vital stakeholders.

  • Aged Care
  • Quality Use Of Medicines
  • Immunisation
