This new incentive allows GPs to refer patients to registered Private Allied Health Professionals at a subsidised cost as part of CDM Item Numbers(when a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangement are in place). i.e The Allied Health Professional will be able to access a Medicare Rebate
Criteria
- Only Private AHP referrals (not Public Hospital)
- GP must use the referral from to Allied Health Services
- AHP must be registered with Medicare Australia
- Total of 5 services per year per patient
